Kotar, Montenegro

Kotor is a historic fortified coastal town located on the inner shores of the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro, renowned for its well-preserved medieval architecture and dramatic mountain backdrop. Designated in 1979, the Old Town (Stari Grad) features a compact, car-free labyrinth of stone streets, squares, and Venetian-era palazzi shaped by centuries of rule by the Republic of Venice, Byzantium, and others.
