Gjirokastër, Albania

Gjirokastër is a historic city in southern Albania known as the "City of Stone" for its unique Ottoman-era architecture and cobblestone streets. The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its preserved 17th- and 18th-century tower houses (kulla) and steep slate-roofed buildings.
