Tallinn

Tallinn, Estonia’s capital on the Baltic Sea, is the country’s cultural hub. It retains its walled, cobblestoned Old Town, home to cafes and shops, as well as Kiek in de Kök, a 15th-century defensive tower. Its Gothic Town Hall, built in the 13th century and with a 64m-high tower, sits in historic Tallinn’s main square. St. Nicholas Church is a 13th-century landmark exhibiting ecclesiastical art.
Seaplane Harbour - The museum is part of the Estonian Maritime Museum. The museum is located in the Tallinn aeroplane harbour in a building originally constructed as a hangar for seaplanes in the area of Peter the Great's Naval Fortress. The Estonian Maritime Museum is located in the Fat Margaret tower in the old town of Tallinn. The museum presents the history of ships and navigation in Estonia and related to Estonia. St. Olaf’s Church or St. Olav's Church in Tallinn, Estonia, is believed to have been built in the 12th century and to have been the centre for old Tallinn's Scandinavian community before Denmark conquered Tallinn in 1219. Town Hall Square (Raekoja Plats) Town Hall Pharmacy (Raeapteek) - The oldest pharmacy in Europe that has continuously been in business in the same building. The exact opening date is not known, but in 1422 the pharmacy already had its third owner.  During the long history of the Raeapteek many honourable men have been pharmacists here. However, a special honour belongs to Burchart family. During the years 1582-1911 the pharmacy belonged to the ten generations of the Burchart family. St. Catherine's Passage - The buildings of Katariina Käik (Katariina Lane) comprise a long and narrow passageway connecting Vene and Müürivahe streets and adjacent to the Dominican monastery, established in 1246 when the monks left Toompea to house their order here.
