Belgrade

Belgrade is the capital of the southeast European country of Serbia. Its most significant landmark is the Beogradska Tvrđava, an imposing fortress at the confluence of the Danube and the Sava rivers. The fort is a testament to the city’s strategic importance to the Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman, Serbian and Austrian empires.

Royal Palace

The Royal Palace is the official residence of the Karađorđević royal family. The Royal Palace was built between 1924 and 1929 with the private funds of His Majesty King Alexander I. It is the main building in the Royal Compound.

Tito's Memorial

The final resting place of the once revered leader, who died in 1980, is called House of Flowers. It is a memorial which houses the tombs of Tito and his wife, a statue and a museum housing interesting memorabilia.
